This is an activity for guys and gals who have an interest in any of the shooting sports, whether just starting out or continuing a long-standing hobby. We have members with experience in pistols, rifles and shotguns, and there are several indoor and outdoor venues in the area.
We link people with common interests, and also hold group events. Events that we have held in the past year include gun safety in the home, trap shooting in Kamas and Salt Lake City, the basics of reloading, an introduction to pistol shooting for “never-ever” folks, use of lasers and flashlights, panic defensive shooting at home and on the trail, shooting the dreaded “AR-15”, and more.
Most sessions are held either at the Kamas Lions Club outdoor range or at the Park City Gun Club, but membership there is not required and they offer discounts for Newcomers members at our events. One-on-one instruction for beginners is also available, at no cost, by a certified instructor.
