Hiking
Details: During the season this group hiked every Wednesday for about two hours, usually on moderate trails all around Park City starting at 10:00 AM. Once a month we try to go on a "field trip" to the Uintas or to see the wildflowers at Alta or another hike that would add travel time to the event. The group usually goes to a nearby restaurant for lunch after the hike.
Lunch and Leisure (Formerly "Out to Lunch")
Details:This year's theme is "The Road Less Traveled!" We intend to explore new (and not so new) areas, activities and eateries. We will have a variety of seasonal activities from nature (see fall foliage, snowshoe, outdoor themes), to historical (local historical places), to art and cultural events, to shopping, to adventure activities...all of course paired with a wonderful luncheon! While weather permits, we will try to have events that include the beautiful scenery and climate to this area. There will be a different event every month, so be sure to check your newsletter early and sign up!!! We will try to give you a head's up to save the date for future events!
Mah Jongg
Details: Mah Jongg is an Asian-derived game which has been adopted into many forms of play. Instead of using cards, we use tiles. The object of the game is to make specific hands in order to win. We play National Mah Jongg League rules and have a specific card with hands you can play. It's like rummy! We are currently meeting every Thursday at someone's home.
